Quit after 1 year and 3 months

I both refrigerator 15 months ago and it has quit working caused by fan and compressor failure. I have found customer service comparable to the refrigerator. My problem was diagnosed more than two weeks ago and still has not been resolved. The compressor had to be ordered. When the technician arrived to install the compressor he determined that the fan was not working. He then has to order a replacement fan and could not provide an estimate of when it should arrive. I was advised that the manufacturer does not allow him to have spare part on hand even though my problem has been very common with this model.

Lovely Fridge

Overall we love the fridge. Unfortunately the craft ice maker is terrible and in hindsight we might have bought another brand fridge if we knew it would break so often. First time thankfully was under warranty then it broke again just a year later after it was fully replaced Sad expensive experience. We might not even replace it at this point which is a bad and sad customer experience.

Love the refrigerator

We bought this refrigerator last June 2022 about October the Kraft ice maker quit working we didnt know until we received a phone call from LG stating that the ice maker had a problem its a smart refrigerator it was covered by factory warranty and was fixed promptly and has been working great. In March the top ice maker quit working called LG service and they replaced it promptly as it was still under warranty. Despite those problems we love our LG refrigerator it is very quiet running and keeps our food much fresher longer. I would definitely recommend this product.

Plenty of space and well laid out. We have had a few issues with both ices makers that were quickly repaired. The finger prints and marks on surface are much more visable than I anticipated and must use a microcloth to wipe so there are no streaks. It is beautiful and looks amazing in our kitchen remodel. Just hope we do not have any further issues.

I appreciate that the refrigerator still works overall. Im disappointed that the craft ice is completely broken after only 3 months. If you google LG craft ice you will see issues with this ice maker breaking since 2020. I would avoid craft ice until it is actually usable.

Craft Icemaker is Defective

I bought the LG brand based on reputation of quality and reliability. After reseaching this model met our size and needs. I like that it has separate compressors for the fridge and freezer. I am not crazy about the shelf arrangement of the fridge and have mixed feelings about the way food is stored in the lower freezer. We didnt really care about having water and ice on the door because of the low ice capacity but now love it and drink more water and waste less plastic. The reason for the one star is the craft ice maker. I liked the idea of a second ice maker but it is only two years old and broken. Reading online and I see there are numerous complaints about the LG craft icemakers failing. Until LG fixes this I would stay away from any model with a craft icemaker.

Beautiful Refrigerator

I love my new Refrigerator lots more space energy saver however I only gave it a three star rating due to the fact that its been up and running for 2 weeks and both ice makers are incredibly VERY VERY SLOW when it come to making ice And with the amount of ice I use in my water its capability to make ice is compared to my old fridge TERRIBLE

Okay - but not wonderful

I bought this and it does the job for my husband and I but not enough top space for a family. We bedded to replace ours and liked this one for the craft ice cubes in the freezer space. Within less than a year it stopped producing ice so we need a new unit installed. Thankfully we bought it at Costco so they are dealing with LGs repair service. Five weeks to get someone out for service

Great features but...

The refrigerator was delivered with silver permanent marker scribbled inside on the white interior and the metal has many scratches on it. I reported this to the store and LG on the same day it was delivered. LG customer service will not help or even talk about it. They will only speak with the store. LGs customer service is non-existent

Meets All Expectations

Have had this new refrigerator for 1 1/2 months and so far it has met all expectations. Even though it is smaller23 1/2 vs 25 cu. Ft. the usable space is much better. The shelves are well thought out and flexible in their arrangement. The lower freezer is much easier to organize and retrieve items than our old side by side. So far a great purchase.

I love this refridgerator

For a counter depth refrigerator this refrigerator has so much more room due to a better design. The ice maker is in the door so the whole top shelf is open and available. The pockets on the doors are roomy and can hold many items. My husband and I laughed about the craft ice maker in addition to regular ice cubes but it turns out we use the craft ice all the time One problem: the ice maker in the door not the mechanism that makes the craft ice as that is separate quit after 4 months. Calling LG was easy and they sent out an LG repair person who had the new unit in the truck. It took the repair person about 7 minutes to take out the defective unit and put a new one in. Well see how long this one lasts. When it is working it has been great. There are no clumps.

This fridge was just delivered. So disappointed. Everywhere I researched it said it was Matte Black. The sides are black but the front is really a dark gray. If you are wanting back this is not your fridge for you. Now my kitchen coordination is a miss-match.

Fantastic refrigerator but a few downsides

I bought this last year and installed it a few months ago after our kitchen renovation was complete. Its a gorgeous refrigerator and we have had many comments on it. Only downsides are the craft ice are not perfectly round and clear like in the photos the water dispenser can scratch easily and there is no plastic cover on it - I would think for such a high end model they would include some cover - we noticed a small scratch likely from a ring and that bothered me slightly. Otherwise it is a gorgeous model.

Love my fridge

Bought this refrigerator just over a year ago. Has been a really nice upgrade I bought counter depth but does not feel like I lost any space. Wish the ice machine capacitys was a bit larger but we also have the craft ice. My only issue is that the craft ice machine recently went out. I was able to reset it about 2 months ago and was working well but then went out again with no luck making it work again. I contacted LG and they were great about sending a repair company out free of charge to prep lace the craft ice unit. Hopefully it was an isolated incident and will not have more issues.

Great if it worked right

I really like the design and looks of this refrigerator. An added benefit was the craft ice. Keeps you from having to fill those little trays It looks great and I was able to get matching dishwasher and microwave. The problem and basis for the rating is that the craft ice maker stopped working. Four. Alls to customer service and a couple of months waiting still no service call. I do get notices that my warranty is getting ready to run out so they know who I am. Just difficult customer service and NO follow up. Too bad

nice frog as far as design goes

Loved the frig for 10 months. At that point had an issue with the condenser and fluctuations with temp. in freezer. 20 degree changes that involved melting of ice cubes and lose of food.Took 3 1/2 months for LG to finally repair frig and replace condenser.Hope to love it again and have no more issues.

love hate relationship

i bought the fridge 6 months ago and I loved it for 6 months then a the fridge started showing an error on the panel . I could not get ice or water and the temp was starting to warm. It was during the Easter holiday coming up and I was told I had to have a special technician to work on it and none were available until after the holiday. Then after the came they had to order a part and i had to wait for that as well. I did not have a fridge for over 2 weeks luckily i had one in the garage. I was fortunate because my holiday groceries would have spoiled. Now so far the fridge works. I wished since it was new I would have gotten the issue solved quicker.

I have enjoyed the craft ice but have had a problem with the ice sticking and not dropping. then added more water and spilling over. They have replaced the craft ice maker and now its doing it again. Not worth it.

Good tech support

I powered up my new refrigerator about a week before I hooked up the water when I hooked up the water the ice maker did not make any ice for about a 3 days when I called tech support after a lengthy conversation she gave me a picture of the reset button which should be included in the manual users guide but it wasnt so we pushed the reset button and the unit begin dumping the ice I think this should be part of the manual and not require people to call in the same procedure worked on the craft ice unit in the freezer otherwise tech support was fine but the manual was a little bit lacking in that area thank you.

Horrible service doesnt stand behind product

This fridge was purchased last February and due to manufacturing shortages we did not get it delivered until May 2021. Within 6 months the craft ice maker was malfunctioning. After thawing a few times with no success I called LG in March/April of 2022. I was very bluntly told they will do nothing about it as it was purchased over a year ago. No accommodations were made for the fact that they couldnt keep up with demand and we didnt get it installed and used for the first time 3 months later in May. I hope someone from LG sees this and contacts me. Im very frustrated with their inability to make a product that will last more than 6 months and after buying a whole kitchen set of appliances get no help from them. Can only hope the rest of our appliances dont quit on us.

Good but

I have had this refrigerator for almost two years. It is a great size for our family. The craft ice maker is a great concept when it works. We have had it replaced three or four times now. I bought it from Costco and it came with an extra year of warranty. We definitely needed it with the craft ice maker. The repair guy said he replaces these multiple times a week. He said LG knows there is a design flaw but hasnt figured it out yet. Very disappointed that the warranty is over this month. I wont pay to have it replaced just to break in a month or two
