I bought this expecting a quality product and unfortunately the dryer had an issue by emitting a foul ozone odor. The odor did not subside after several cycles so I contacted Costco customer service which contacted LG to schedule a service technician to look at the dryer. Later that same day LG contacted me only to inform me that they did not have any service technician in my area and that they would contact me within 72 hours. It has now been two weeks and no contact from LG. Thankfully Costco has a good and fair return policy. I am returning both washer and dryer and have purchased another brand.

I bought 10/24 from Hone Depot. Delivered 10/31. A screw was missing from the dryer to connect the dryer cord sold separately I called LG to advise I needed the screw to connect the dryer cord Home Depot Lowes Ace Hardware Rural King said they dont sell the terminal block screw - today is 11/16 I have t been able to use the dryer once since I bought it. Giving 1 star review since I have new appliance I cant even use. LG said theyd send the screw but it never arrived. So when buying the dryer make sure you save your old cord /at very least save the old screws.

I love this dryer. My clothes are dry every time the first time though. The lint trap is my second favorite feature. My first favorite feature is when the laundry is done drying and the dryer plays a lovely melody to tell me that its done.

I never realized the LG had a repair service. They are amazing I got an appointment right away. They ordered the part. They communicated with me when it arrived and made an appointment to come back and fix my dry the same day the part arrived. I am disappointed with this dryer. It makes a very loud grinding sound at the beginning of the drying cycle. Ive made 2 calls to LG and after spending 3 hrs most of it on hold was told it was normal. My dryer is under warranty and was told a tech wouldnt come out unless there was an error code if I had known this I wouldnt have purchased this.

The first machine I purchased ended up with a drum roller defect in the first 32 days. LG scheduled a repair tech to come out but Lowes ended up replacing the unit. So far so good but I am afraid this might be a serial problem with this model. It works otherwise as intended

We purchased a dryer and it wouldnt turn on. Service was scheduled and then didnt show. The soonest we could reschedule was over a week later. When service finally came they determined that a new part was needed. It took another two weeks to get the part and service to return. All told we were unable to do laundry for over six weeks.

I am genuinely impressed with this machine. It has just the right number of options and they actually work as designed. I tested the new machine on everything from delicate garments to quilts and rugs and the performance was very good. The sensor settings are surprisingly good at determining how dry the fabric really is. The manual settings are helpful when I want more control. I use permanent press for my dress clothes but the damp dry signal is great for garments I prefer to hang to finish drying. The secret to reducing wrinkles is to remove clothing immediately after the machine starts singing. Personally I find the sing-song at at the end of the cycle annoying but I will admit I notice it more than I did the buzzer on my old machine. I use the normal sensor dry for my sheets. Even in my old machine queen size sheets tend to ball up inside the fitted sheet so mid-cycle I shake them out restart and they come out completely dry. My old machine took two full cycles to dry sheets. The litmus test was a very large and heavy handmade quilt it took a long time and required several rearrangements but it got the job done leaving only a few slightly damp areas which finished air drying.

I am pleased with my purchase and am impressed with how quiet it is as well as the ease of setting up the dryer to run. Moreover the exterior size matching that of the washer is pleasantly more compact than a previous smaller one. The turn nob is smooth and requires little to no pressure to turn while not having to worry about turning it clockwise or counterclockwise. Finally and most importantly my linen comes out dry wrinkle-free and never burned or overly hot. I could not have asked for a better find.

The flow sensor is too sensitive. I had to have a cleaner come and clean our duct to get the dryer to work at all. Once that was done it still will not completely dry everything without having to stop and restart it to get it past the flow sensor shut down. The book says you cant have too long an exhaust duct but I cant replace the one I have in the house as it goes up and out the roof.

I bought this dryer a month ago and have thoroughly using it. The quick dry time and heat this dryer pushes out are great. It may take some time to get used to selecting the right setting but overall this is a great dryer. The reason I selected 4 stars is because for the price there should have been a light on the inside of the dryer. I also wish I could use the app like I do for the LG washer I have as this would be handy. I love that I dry a Kind size comforter almost completely with one cycle. Overall the dryer is great

The original dryer wouldnt work. The replacement dryer wouldnt work. A technician discovered that the plastic button that tells the dryer that the door is closed was not big enough to actually register it closed so it wouldnt run. This is a design/manufacturing defect and took over a week to resolve. Obviously this is a known defect and should be corrected before selling more machines.

The Verdict Is Still Out

As soon as the dryer was delivered I hooked it up and tried it out. The delivery guys were barely out the driveway. The dryer would not turn on. After spending about 45 minutes on the phone with LG Tech Support they said it was throwing a code that the door was not closed. I assured them it was closed. They said to work with Home Depot to get a replacement. After another two weeks I finally got another dryer. Hooked it up tried it out and so far so good. But I need more time to run it through its paces before I can be fair in my evaluation. I gave this review a 2 star because the Verdict is still out. In all fairness to LG I will probably raise my rating once I have a chance to try it out.

Only issue with this fantastic dryer is the very confusing Energy Saver. The initial use on large load high heat and delicate low heat was excellent however when the normal medium heat was selected it just tumbled with no heat. After many e-mails calls and live discussions a repair man came out to fix the dryer. Turns out there was nothing wrong with the dryer--it defaults to running ~15 minutes with no heat on the medium settings. How this saves energy is unknown and if it is normal it should be explained in the How to Operate section. Explanation is in the Trouble Shoot section under No Heat but when it heats on high and low it is not an obvious place to look. Now that I know what Energy Saver is the dryer works great--looks great and does a great job drying.

Weve had this a few weeks now. Weve already had issues with it not working the drum not spinning. LG support has not been helpful. When it does work my tshirts have come out very wrinkled like they never have before even when getting them out right away. Would not recommend.
